Oakwood are always learning
Salford University asked Oakwood Air Conditioning to supply and install two VRF systems into the Allerton Building Library. The project also involved the stripping out of redundant systems and the relocation of existing VRF condensing units that were previously installed on a flat roof leaving them difficult to maintain.
The existing outdoor equipment has been relocated and the pipework services extended to the new plant area at ground floor level ensuring they can be maintained regularly in future.
The equipment was integrated into the University's site wide BMS system via a new PROCON interface. The project value was £70,000 and was completed on time and on budget.
Such was the client's satisfaction that on completion of the installation, the maintenance contract was also awarded to Oakwood, a not uncommon occurrence for us.
